Learning about sustainable construction techniques and materials

Defining a sustainable building or ‘eco-home’ is not easy, as the materials used, where they are sited, how they are designed and built or renovated, and how they are operated all add to the mix.

Sustainable construction materials have to be created sustainably, or obtained locally, or salvaged from reclaimed materials nearby.  Materials are assessed using green specifications that look at their Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) in terms of their embodied energy, durability, recycled content, waste minimisation, and their ability to be reused or recycled.

How we can help you

Funding for Sustainable Construction

  • If you would like to show customers or staff sustainable materials at your own premises we can arrange to loan you the CAP’EM mobile demo unit.  We can also loan out the mobile unit to support building events, seminars, and industry meetings.
